The Benefits of Circuit Training:
If you’re looking for a full body workout in 45 minutes or less that will complement your Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, BJJ, and/ or MMA training and increase your overall fitness level, then circuit training is the right workout for you!
Circuit training generally comprises of various workout stations used to target specific muscle groups and areas. Each exercise is then performed for 60 to 90 seconds, with a break after no longer than 30 seconds, as you move on from one station to the next.

Circuit training is a great workout because it is completely customizable! Every single workout you do can be different from the last. You can choose which areas of your body to focus on, and for how long. You can switch up equipment as often as you’d like to keep each workout different and exciting, all while focusing on different target areas. This will never make for a typical run-of-the-mill workout!
Mixing Strength and Cardio Training:
Have you ever gone to the gym and dreaded going on the treadmill for your entire workout? Or stared at a weight room full of equipment you didn’t know how to use? Gone are those days! One of the huge benefits of circuit training is that both of these areas, cardio and strength, are combined in a quick but effective workout. Circuit training is a HIIT (High intensity interval training) workout and it will kick your body high gear for the duration of the workout and after. It ensures that you keep your body mass through the strength training but lean out with the cardio training. This and the after-burn of each workout, makes circuit training successful for so many people!
Minimum time, Maximum Results:
For those of you who don’t have tons of time to spend in the gym, this workout is great for you! A circuit can range from anywhere from 20 minutes to 60 minutes. With your heart rate being elevated for the entire duration of the workout (and very few rest periods), you can afford to have a shorter workout time because not a minute is wasted!
It supplements your Muay Thai, BJJ, Kickboxing, Boxing and/or MMA training:
Finally, circuit training is also excellent for supplementing your Muay Thai, BJJ, Kickboxing, Boxing, and/or MMA training. HIIT workouts will increase your stamina over time and allow your body to become comfortable with recovering from powerful bursts of movements, which will help you during combinations, drill work and sparring. Circuit training will also increase strength in areas you might not get to work on during a Martial Arts class which will ultimately improve your overall Martial Arts training.
